Young, Cilic one match away from showdown for world number 1

they are both in the semis of the yucatan cup.
cilic is also in the qf of the doubles, while young lost in the second round.
the winner of this tournament will be number one. if either of them loses in this stage, the one who makes the final will be number 1

my favorite was the worst number 3 player in the world

Hey, i'm excited about this too, but why you didn't post it in the other thread ?
Anyway, Does Cilic's advance in doubles draw give him aditional points?

Only 6.25 additional points IF he wins doubles. Not enough.

First time I see top junior players play in this yucatan cup. I thought that the 'masters' was the Orange Bowl. A shame that Chardy did not play in Irange Bowl, he may have had a good chance of winning the title but a Swiss player won so I'm happy.

Life is empty and meaningless. It is in emptiness that we create possibilities for extraordinary results

neither were origionally entered. both got wcs after young and cilic both went out too early in the orange bowl to clinch number 1

my favorite was the worst number 3 player in the world

I thought Young had clinched number 1 spot already...

"I asked a bloke in the front row if he liked the serve-and-volley stuff," said Rafter. "He said he did but asked if he was going to get to see any rallies. 'Not today, mate,' I told him."
