Re: Guga d. Puerta 7-5 6-3

Best of luck to him, I do want to see him play on clay as close to his best as he can, given his physical condition, get. I wouldn't mind seeing him play Federer, Gasquet, or Nadal, either.

I am a fan of Federer, Gasquet, Baghdatis, the long-deceased Safin, Youzhny, Nalbandian, Rochus, Tsonga, the sadly-departed Santoro, and good, hearty, competitive tennis matches. The quality of my life does not rest solely on who wins these matches. In fact, I would even go as far as to say that I can live quite happily after a player I like chokes, mugs, bashes, or otherwise succumbs to a loss.

Happy for Guga, sad for Mariano.

But I'm very happy Guga is back for 2006! And with a new line of clothes. He's such a sweetie.

Re: Guga d. Puerta 7-5 6-3

Good for Gustavo.

Exhibition or not, he's suffered through such adversity that at this point in his career any victory is better than none.

It's rather unfortunate that he's been rendered helpless as of late, it would only be appropriate for the true King Of Clay to be dethroned, instead it was more of a forced resignation; due to injury.

Re: Guga d. Puerta 7-5 6-3

Guga is still the last man to have defeated Federer in straight sets, don't forget it I truly believe he can come back in the top-20 if he reaches that level again, and even more!
