SEA Games Tennis Results

Hey, the South East Asian Games just concluded here in the Philippines and I got to see some great tennis action...

Anyway, the men's singles results are as follows...

Gold - Cecil Mamiit (PHI)
Silver - Danai Udomchoke (THA)
Bronze - Eric Taino (PHI)
Prima Simpatiaji (IND)

Interesting to note... Paradorn was not in action. Do you guys remember Mamiit? He beat Agassi once... can't remember when exactly. Anyway I had fun... it was great.

Re: SEA Games Tennis Results

Yeah, he beat Agassi 0-6 6-6 after Agassi retired with an injury, lol.

Interestingly, Mamiit and Taino are actually American brought up players of Filipino origin.

Or you might remember Cecil as the guy who ran into the umpire's chair and smashed up his leg at the Aussie Open. Nice to see him make a comeback and get a gold medal.

As is Riza Zalameda, who participated on behalf of the Philippines in the women's event.

Re: SEA Games Tennis Results

I have to agree... I was right there. I wouldn't say Danai was cheated because those bad calls (two at most) were probably not intentional. Anyway, any info about Udomchoke??? I haven't seen him play on the tour yet actually...

Marat: Last question: what do you think of me? Dinara: You are my god! When you play, I love
to see you. When you lose, I am even sadder than when it is me. When you are wounded, I suffer.
When you speak to me, I drink your words. When you come to see me playing, I am with the angels.
