Top 10 of talent

Of those in the top 100 what would your top ten look like and in which order if you were going on all court talent and technical ability alone and nothing to do with mental fragility or toughness. Also i don't mean potential i mean more current ability.

If you pick a top ten and aren't sure what order to put them in a possible way of ordering them would be to give them a mark out of ten for talent on each surface and then add them up. Cheers.

By the way if anyone comes here and doesn't want to do this thats fine but last time i started a thread people insulted me for no reason so if thats what you want to do just try not to. thanks.

My list of players using G for Grass H for Hard court C for Clay & T for Total

Roger Federer G-10 H-10 C-9 T=29
Marat Safin G-8 H-10 C-8 T=26
Fernando Gonzalez G-7 H-8 C-8 T=23
Richard Gasquet G-8 H-9 C-8 T=25
Rafael Nadal G-7 H-8 C-10 T=25
David Nalbandian G-7 H-9 C-8 T=24
Juan Carlos Ferrero G-7 H-8 C-9 T=24
Lleyton Hewitt G-8 H-9 C-7 T=24
Ivan Ljubicic G-8 H-9 C-6 T=23
Tommy Haas G-8 H-8 C-8 T=24

So that makes it go

1 R Federer
2 M Safin
3= R Gasque
3= R Nadal
5= D Nalbandian
5= J C Ferrero
5= L Hewitt
5= T Haas
9= F Gonzalez
9= I Ljubicic

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game

I guess Roddick must be the greatest player to ever play the game.

Anyone who classes Davydenko as one of the top-10 most-talented players is :retard:.

Re: Top 10 of talent

How can you put Roddick as the third most talented player? He doesn't have the game in his bones. He doesn't understand it's fine points and he doesn't have any tennis instinct. He doesn't understand point construction, the cutting off of angles, he can't read or return serves well at all, has little to no disguise on his serve or groundstrokes, lacks a varied repertoire of strokes, can't vary the length and speed/spin of his strokes well, etc. To me, two of the preriquisites of a talented player is the ability to hit early and camp the baseline, and economical strokeplay. Roddick is not qualified in either of these aspects.
