Srichaphan ordained as monk

Thailand's tennis star Paradorn Srichaphan smiles as he rides on the back of an elephant while his ordination procession enters a temple in Bangkok, Thailand, Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005. Paradorn will spend his life as a Buddhist monk at this temple for seven days starting Saturday. (AP Photo/Apichart Weerawong)

I understand that this is something many men in Thailand do. Nice to see Paradorn sticking with his traditions.

Re: Srichaphan ordained as monk

Whoa!

Does this mean he can't play anymore?
I'm pretty sure being ordained a monk would entail the responsibility of living a simple life...

I hope someone from Thailand can clear this up...
