under paid for the work and time they do. i mean a player sitting on last set of bench in NBA makes 2-4 million, only playing when his team is down by 20 with min to go. but NBA makes more money and does better marketing for the game.

Well, tennis players in the most occasions can decide where they will play, when they will play, who will coach them, etc.

True. But tennis players also pay for their coaches and trainers, unlike many other sports.
