Re: do you know? The "Race to Duesseldorf 2006" is over...

Did all the players listed indicate that they were interested in playing or did the organisers just enter the top 2 players from each country into the Race?

Will USA play? I don't remember Andy Roddick ever entering this competition.

Surely Federer, and hence Switzerland, won't play.

Re: do you know? The "Race to Duesseldorf 2006" is over...

Did you know that the highest ranked player is also who shares out the money among the rest of players of the team ??

Before the tournament starts this highest player negotiates with the rest of players the percentage of profit , and sometimes they don't reach an agreement . In fact last year Robredo before calling Ferrer , Ventura and Lopez Moron , negotiated with another players ( i know at least two names ) and they didn't reach an economic agreement

Re: do you know? The "Race to Duesseldorf 2006" is over...

Last year I heard (sorry I don´t remember.... I think it was a Chilean press article) that Massú had "problems" with one of the Chilean players (not Gonzalez) because of the percentage and that player finallly decided to play the qualy to RG instead of Duesseldorf. I though that was weird in that moment.... Thanks for the info Galaxystorm. That explains it. Anyway, I don´t remember the name of that player....
