He'd break and meet all those records sure.
But seriously, more would be attributed to a choke by Nabaldian than a miraculous comeback from Fed. We would look at this match much the same way we looked at the Miami Final where Fed beat Nadal in a nailbiter. I don't think we should be looking at the score thinnnig how close it was because really, Nabaldian did choke but managed to regain his composure to finish out the match. Sure Federer was 2 points from the match, but its the same as saying he should've won his AO semi versus Safin, where he held match point but blew it between the legs (if you saw that match point you'll get the pun
Federer is human. It's amazing that he was able to take advantage of the opening Nabaldian gave him the way he did. I think in a way Federer knew he was going to lose if he didn't give it 100 percent. So not wanting to lose, he naturally gave it 100%. So he couldn't blame himself for trying. And the end reult is not that Federer almost won, but couldn't clsoe it out, it was that Nabaldian won by not letting Federer clsoe it out. That's why Federer wasn't crying. Cause if it the 5th set was switched with the 3rd. and I choked that and allwoed Nabaldian to win in 5, i would be crying. Like a Coria
