Which duo will be the first to win their first grand slam

Nadal, Federer, Safin, Hewitt and Safin are still the main candidate for a slam. But in the future, maybe not next year, there will be another winner.

The main suspects are too numerous to be all in the same poll, so I grouped them by duo. I was tempted to put Djokovic with Murray.

Re: Which duo will be the first to win their first grand slam

Perhaps I was not original however I saw my vote was the first for Muuray / Baghdatis. They will both win slams, that's what I think. Would vote for Del Potro / Young, but I am not sure about Young . Same with Djoković / Berdych - after all, I highly doubt if Berdych wins a GS. I can't see winning Nalbandian, Ginepri... (I'm sorry)... I believe both Gasquet and Monfils can win a Slam, but not as the first ones.
At first I thought it's going to be about doubles and wanted to write Matkowski / Fyrstenberg

Re: Which duo will be the first to win their first grand slam

I realise I explained it badly but what I wanted to ask is : which group will have one of them winning a grand slam first?

Not both of them winning a slam.

Re: Which duo will be the first to win their first grand slam

None, probably Richard Gasquet though, he is already in the top 20 at a pretty young age, reached a Masters final, and beat #1 in the world. I think he will break into top 10 soon.
As for winning slams against people like Federer....that would take alotta luck.

Although Andy winning a GS would be a dream, in this current era I don't see any of those players winning a GS. Coria maybe RG....

Re: Which duo will be the first to win their first grand slam

Gasquet will be the first of those players to win a slam as he has shown he can play tennis good enought to beat Roger Federer. Also gasquet has a beautiful way of playing so i want him to do well.

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game

Re: Which duo will be the first to win their first grand slam

with his complete game, gasquet is a potential winner of all GS tournament, as efficient on rebound ace as clay or grass, whereas players such as coria or robredo have no chance to win wimbly a day...

TATI, RICHIE AND GAEL
