Young guns 2006

We had a lot of young guns ruling the tour this season (Monfils, Murray, Nadal, Gasquet, Djokovic, Wawrinka etc.). I wonder is there a player among the juniors or among the players that will play their 1st season next year, who can keep up with the results of the mentioned players. Who should it be?

Del Potro ? Korolev?

oh is it according to my signature ?

I would be very happy if it worked out Besides, I think the one who we should take a look at is Jeremy Chardy from France Or let's see what will happen to Santiago Giraldo from Colombia. Right now it seems he doesn't have too much money to travel, but maybe it can change next year (he's still 17 as well). I am curious what about Ryan "The sweet thing" Sweeting, the USO boys' champion. He said he wanted to go to the college and didn't play any more events this year (I suppose he'll take a chance at Orange Bowl).

I also hope that for two older guys, but still young things - Michael Ryderstedt from Sweden (would be difficult, but I believe anyway... and somebody said supporting Chucho might be frustrating heh) and Teimuraz Gabashvili from Russia can have a breakthrough year.

Keep an eye on Ilja Bozoljac of Serbia. I'm curious to know what other people who have seen him think of him. He gets a bit mental on court, but he might crack the Top 100 in 2006 and get a little bit of attention along the way.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

Re: Young guns 2006

I would agree. I'm very fond of Sco, but I don't think he's Top 100 material yet. He has a lot of work to do developing his game and his consistency. His match against Nadal at the USO was quite exciting, but he's been kind of 'distracted' since then. It's too early to give up on him entirely, and 2006 will be very important for him, but I'm pretty sure he will need another USO WC next September.

Re: Young guns 2006

Sco has potential, but I don't think he has the head to be a top player. Far too inconsistant and loopy.

Re: Young guns 2006

Well, truly speaking I haven't seen a lot of juniors. I only can judge them by their results this year. You can check it on itftennis.com. But syrely there are some people here who saw many junior players

Re: Young guns 2006

I hope Jeremy Chardy and Ryan Sweeting will go pro and have good years.

And Lukas Lacko, too.
