Re: masters cup groups

1 and 2
3 and 4
5 and 6
7 and 8

are all drawn into groups via those pairs, so it limits the possibilities of what groups can result ....

Hard to say much more since we're not really exactly sure who's playing yet.

That means there are only 8 possible group pairings, if i am not wrong.

What are the chances Federer, Roddick and Ljubicic all get drawn in the same group

the chance is 1/2 x 1/2 x 1/2 = 1/8 = 12.5%

if that's the case, i can see nadal vs federer in the final.... which is what i m looking for!

Actually it's 1/4, since Federer's group is determined, therefore the calculation applies to Ljubo and Roddick only.

I know nothing about this so I really shouldn't be writing in here but...

I don't think it's pre-determined whether Feds gets put in the Blue? Group or the Red? Group so you still have to factor in that probability when determining the probability of the other guys being in his group.

And no I don't think Fed and Nadal can meet... Feds goes in Blue and Nadal in Red or vice-versa, No?!

Maybe but not in the way you think. Fed will be rusty and Andy and Ivan will be tired and nursing an injury or two. So, unfortunately, whoever wins, the quality of tennis is bound to suffer.

Need ideas for a new signature...

Yeah, but it's still the three best people on the surface (assuming Hewitt doesn't play) all in the same group, it'd still be too bad IMO, b/c only 2 of them would be able to be semifinalists, etc. But it's not even sure that Andy's playing so it may not even matter.
