Time to see who will join the 1st title club of 2006? Don't worry if your choice is not there, the other option has been included.

From the choices given, I hope Nole and Marcos get their first titles. Sexy Radek is due for one soon too. I can't think of any "others" at the moment.

Re: Who will win their first title in 2006?

Baghdatis and Murray will take a title for sure. Djokovic has the possibilities, but it's maybe one year too early.

by the way, I am very curious about Kristof Vliegen's results in 2006. If he can be consistent and injury free, he maybe can surprise the world and probably himself and take a title. (already managed to get to the final of Adelaide 2003, semi-final of Barcelona 2004, in 2005 he beat Monfils, Djokovic and Coria and almost Malisse... Not too bad, but IMO he can do better )

Xavier Malisse & Kristof Vliegen & Olivier Rochus

Steve Darcis - Dick Norman - Christophe Rochus

Desein - Bemelmans - Masson - Mertens - Authom - Wauters

Re: Who will win their first title in 2006?

Yeah, I'm biased... but Jurgen and/or Jarkko are getting to that 'it's now or never' stage. They've had good times and bad this year, and I only have room for one alexander Popp amongst my favourites. Here's hoping they can get the monkey off their back

♥ Oliver Marach ~ Jarkko Nieminen ~ Jürgen Melzer ~ Evgeny Korolev ♥
°Koubek_Kubot_Berdych_Söderling_Fyrstenberg_Murray °
°Kunitsyn_Vinciguerra_Klec_Djokovic_Istomin_Paukku _Golubev°

♥Jonas Björkman Jim Thomas♥
Larsson ~ Legner ~ Scheffers ~ Kruszelnicki ~ Cattaneo ~ Jonsson ~ Andersson

Re: Who will win their first title in 2006?

It's about time for Nieminen to win a title, if Murray continues with the improvement I can see him winning a title.

As for personal favourites I'd like to see Horna, Baghdatis, Seppi, Djokovic or Niemienen win a title, that will probably mean they won't.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Baghdatis should have no problems to win a title next year.

Are you trying to be funny or what?

Re: Who will win their first title in 2006?

most of all I HOPE Melzer is winning a first title, I would pull for Mayer as well (maybe one of these events happens)

I THINK several players could win their first title: Baghdatis, Murray, Djokovic... lots of candidates

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Re: Who will win their first title in 2006?

Well, that's why there are multiple options on this poll and as I did for the 2005 one, as soon as someone wins their first title, then it will be updated.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
