who pays for broadcast rights

is that still the case? other than the Grand Slam events, all other tournamnets must still BUY t.v time?

""The tennis industry continues to operate under a structure where all but the Grand Slams buy television time to show their events. The recent collapse of the $1.2 billion marketing partnership between the men’s pro tour (ATP) and European sports conglomerate ISL deepened the problem""

the article was written in 2002. Is this still th ecase in 2005?

Yes, that is still the case. But, don't cry for the tournaments. They can make money from selling commercial time, can't they?
