Step only lost 2 points on his 2nd serve the whole match. That is amazing.

Paulo I think yesterday took too much out of him. The crowd didn't help him as much today, it was just flat all round. Paulo didn't return well enough either.

Yup. He looked mentally flat and exhausted and understandably so after 2 tough matches. The crowd has been getting worse with each round too ever since that electric atmosphere they created in the 1st round match against Sanguinetti.

But well done to Sexy Radek, who served and returned well. And at least Paulo won one more game than LaLo did.

Re: Stepanek defeats PHM 7-5, 6-4

Radek, I love you!

But in a strictly platonic sense, take note.

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

Re: Stepanek defeats PHM 7-5, 6-4

Well done Sexypanek!
2005 was a good year for Paulo: the first season in his career he didn't suffer from any major injury!
Now rest, work and come back hypermotivated in 2006, PHM!
The curse of POPB is gone. Good memories replace the bad ones. Good week.

Only a very carried away Agee Degee mentioned 'PHM winning the tournament', plus a too enthusiastic Marifline suggested it before being told not to be so sure by us. Nobody else did.
That's "propaganda" in a way what you're doing.

What's POPB?

When Paulo won 3 sets in both last matches,he has very less chance to win this match. He always struggled to hold serve, and he was broken after 40-15 in *5-5,so .But I'm glad he doesn't suffer big injury this year, hope he will finish in top 20 next year.

Stan The Paris Man

Cheer for: Wawrinka Murray Ljubicic Gonzalez Mahut Nishikori Soderling Tipsarevic Mathieu Monfils Muller Tsonga Berdych Acasuso O.Rochus Kiefer...
