1. Stadium on Schedule for Completion
The US$200 million state-of-the-art Qi Zhong (pronounced Chee-Jong) stadium will be completed in August 2005. The 15,000-seat stadium will incorporate many cutting edge technologies including those used to operate the eightpiece steel magnolia roof, which will take eight minutes to completely open or close.
2. Proposed Match Schedule (Sunday 13 to Sunday 20 November)
On the first and last Sunday of the tournament, matches will start at 1PM. Every other day matches will start at 2PM with a night session at 7PM (TBC). There will be two doubles and two singles matches each day (except the final day). The order of matches is not yet confirmed.
3. Court surface
The TMC court surface will be supplied by Gerflor and will be the same as the surface at the ATP Masters Series Paris.
4. Ceremonies
The Official Welcome Ceremony will be on Saturday 12 November

Re: Shangai Surface

For some reason, the ATP website says "Hard" for Shanghai and "carpet" for Paris
