He joins Ivan and Roger as the only players to win a tournament without dropping serve this year.

Don't forget Aussie Pim in Marseille. Federer does stand out from that list as the only non-huge server, although he still gets plenty of aces and cheap points on serve too.

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

there is nothing cheap about a ability of getting points on serve, its a skill.

But that was the best punning nickname ever. And more importantly, I actually managed to come up with it first!

"Cheap points on serve" is a standard commentating phrase, all it means is that physically you don't have to exert a lot of energy to win the point, because the serve does it for you instantly. Nothing derogatory is implied.

Don't worry Jerry, you and I both know that it is very cheap when a certain webbed individual starts practising it.

uh... you might want to check back on the Lleyton forum. We were using it there before anyone else.

But in answer to the question of this thread.

Yes, Andy loosed his serve on his opponents quite successfully. :P
