A good day for Dutch tennis! The only time I've been able to say this in 2005 was when we beat Switzerland in the DC 1st round!
Melle van Gemerden is on quite a run this season and slowly climbs towards the top 100. Beating Schüttler in this dominating fashion is quite remarkable!
John van Lottum had been out with a back injury for over a year and is currently unranked according to the atp site.

Yes, van Lottum started playing in Mons few weeks ago, when he got killed by Petzschner in the qualifying. What a shit day for the tournament favourites, but you never know with these guys. Van Gemerden is also seeded by the way.
