Hurrah - Roger's off crutches . His ankle is still swollen (?) but he's planning to start running next week and then play tennis.

So cute from Rafa too - calling Roger "number one".

Thank you very much for posting this, Alvarillo.

Re: Roger visited Rafa in Basel's Hotel ! :)

frBOTH TENNIS PLAYERS MAINTAIN A GREAT RELATION Federer did a visit to him surprise to Nadal in Basel Two dry blows and discreet they sound in the door of room 449 of a luxurious hotel of Basel. Rafael Nadal, number two of world-wide tennis, opens the door "Hello, Rafa", Roger Federer says to him. "Eh...! Hello, how plows you ", Nadal answers, almost without thinking that it in front of has him to number one of the world. Federer, recovering of an injury and in its first day without muletas, had decided to give a surprise to its young rival, the man with whom the dominion of world-wide tennis is distributed. Nadal had arrived one hour before at Basel to have supper with people in charge of the local match, to which it had to resign by a tendinitis in the knees. "Roger called to me by telephone and it asked to me where Rafa lodged", Vittorio Selmi explained, ' tour manager' of the ATP "Cuando I said the hotel to him, did not doubt: ' I go for there ' ". Federer lives in Basel, which facilitated the encounter, although are not many the sports in which the number one maintains a so open and frank relation with its more direct rival. The Swiss is the unquestionable leader of tennis, but Nadal, after one season remarkable, equals its eleven titles in 2005. The Spanish had at night gained of Sunday the Masters Series of Madrid, one of the most important successes of his race. In the short while its telephone vibrated, marking the arrival of a SMS. "Hello, man! Rafa, good tennis and Madrid! Many contentment Rogelio you ". The phrase, one mescolanza of Italian Spanish and, had been written by Federer to congratulate to the Spanish by its triumph in Madrid. Nadal usually calls ' number unó or ' Rogelió to Federer, and the Swiss adopted the nickname willingly. Zidane and... Shanghai the contact renewed at night of Monday. Both could not talk beyond 20 minutes, because Nadal had to fulfill its commitments with the match. But Federer had time to ask details on lived the previous week in Madrid. "He was very hard, saw me lost during almost all the party", confessed in more than acceptable English a Spanish the Swiss to him. Federer took off a slipper and it showed Nadal the state to him of his ankle, enough inflation still after the distension of ligaments that suffered ten days ago. And there was an inescapable subject: soccer. Federer was once again lamented of not to have been able to play in Madrid and to delay his dreamed encounter about ídolo soccer of its youth, the French Zinedine Zidane. "You are going to go to Shanghai", Nadal asked. Federer smiled: "I am doing everything what I can. The week that comes I will begin to run a little, and soon I will try to play tennis ". There was no time for more. Nadal left sudden flight towards the supper - where it left a great impression, speaking English with more soltura than in his press conferences -, and Federer remained having supper in the hotel. It was already the midnight when they returned to cross itself, one course to the bed, the other towards his house. New greeting and the new crossed desires of luck: the one and the two want to follow their conversation in Shanghaiom babelfish:

Is there anyway that we can also get a non-bablefish translation (thanks for posting that by the way avocadoe).

Just with bablefish I do think that sometimes thinks are lost in the translation.
