Rafael Nadal to be the image of Puig's new perfume

"Aroma de campeón"

Rafael Nadal to be the image of Puig's new perfume

Efe|MADRID

Rafael Nadal's prominence extends beyond the purely sporting field and his image is courted by the most prestigious companies to promote their products. The latest one to put their stakes on the reigning French Open champion and world number two is the prestigious perfume and cosmetics company Antonio Puig, with whom the player from Manacor has signed an agreement that will make him the face and symbol of a new fragrance in total sympathy with the person in question that will be on the market at the beginning of 2006. Nadal is following in the footsteps of Carlos Moya who some years ago also had his own fragrance.

What frightens you?

“Nothing scares me. On second thought, I hate dentists. I fear dentists. You want to know how many cavities I have? Don’t embarrass me. Going to the dentist for me is worse than playing Fabrice Santoro.” - Marat Safin

Is there anything left to say?

Carlos is Rafa's hero, role model and mentor. I don't think any youngster would wish or hope for a better one than him. Buena suerte Rafa with your new venture.

Roger has his own perfume too...
I think there's something "going on" between the #1 and #2 players you know.. rafa blushing when roger talks to him... rafa calling roger because he misses him and he's worried about his health...

Man, I thought that said 'Pug's new perfume.'

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

Re: Rafael Nadal to be the image of Puig's new perfume

The last idea that comes to mind when looking at the match photos of Nadal is that I would want to smell him. If he has to rep a cologne line perhaps he could have picked something with a name like Paco Rabanne or Dior or anything that doesn't read and/or sound like pig. Who is marketing this kid anyhow? To be honset I haven't seen that many pictures of him offcourt and the ones I have make him look like a member of Menudo. Maybe he's trying to find a transition from bubble-gum swashbuckler to ?

Andre has his own perfume and he just introduced another one . . . both with Estee Lauder.

" Puig " is a catalan word/surname that means = " hill ".

I don't know how this perfume is pronounced abroad but the correct pronunciation is approximately the same than the english word " pooch " , although the " u " sound in Puig is a bit shorter, that is pooch = [püch ], and Puig = [puch]

Why the bloody hell are all these damn tennis players releasing fragrances?

Maria's wasn't all that hot. Now Roddick is coming out with one...it better be good. Just don't let American Express campaign it...

Q. When you've played as few matches as you have over the last two, three months, did you ever lack motivation to go out and practice?

ANDY RODDICK: Motivation? No. I enjoy what I do. I enjoy what I do. You know, I've never been one to, you know, blow off practice or, you know, do anything like that.

You know, I'd be lying if I said I'm looking forward to practicing the next two days as opposed to playing here. That part is gonna suck...(2010 Aegon Championships)
