Re: Wawrinka splits from his coach Peter Lundgren

…and didn't Lundgren turn down Soderling to stay with Wawrinka last year? Bet he's regretting that now….. er, or maybe not.

Re: Wawrinka splits from his coach Peter Lundgren

Does anyone think Lundgren might be good for Murray? he took both Federer and Safin to their first slams...... both had anger issues!

Murray's problem isn't anger/mental issues, it's mostly the fact that his serve is inconsistent and his forehand lacks power and he doesn't go down the line with it much either.

He needs a coach that can work on his technique before consulting a tactical coach.

Rafa splitting up with Toni?

Rafa saying time has come when "I can talk back to Toni more than was the case up to now. If people outside my family tell me the same things as Toni, this is a cause for anxiety and we can hardly continue together"... something in this vein.

I Read it here: http://www.b92.net/sport/tenis/vesti...&nav_id=543169 (in Serbian)

Any confirmation of this elsewhere?

Re: Rafa splitting up with Toni?

I can confirm it with none-factual evidence. During the USO final, he was yelling/screaming something at Uncle Toni during the first set. It had to do with tactical issues I believe. He disagreed with him on the right approaches against opponents I think.

well then. djokovic might just have saved his career with the 0-6 streak. now just to pick the right replacement. he really needs to unplaster himself from the family to evolve as a person (and tennis player). Murray too.

I vote for Roger to coach Rafa.

Re: Rafa splitting up with Toni?

I'd love to see him with Brad Gilbert. That would be a magical partnership.

If I lose the first set, the match will be complicate, no?

My favorite Federer and Nadal quotes following their 2008 Wimbledon final:

“But right now, it’s not much of a how do you say? a feel-good thing.”
-Roger Federer
"In the last game, I didn't see nothing. The true, I wasn't see nothing, no?"
-Rafael Nadal

You do not leave the mafia. Don Toni will not have it. The family comes first.

He added: “If other people outside my family said to me what he says, then it would be very difficult to keep working together. Also he has three kids, and sometimes he gets tired of travelling. So far I’ve been happy with how I’ve played this year, but not with my matches against Djokovic. He’s my motivation to play better.”

bad translation on previous link

it's around. we'll see...
