Nadal was playing horribly in Flushing meadows without aggressiveness playing very short and it was logical that Blake defeated Nadal watching as Rafa played against Reynolds and Jenkins and watching as Blake was playing since New Haven.
There are some matches when the opponent is able to handle Nadal's topspin, but these matches are the exception , because in the 90% of matches played on clay and hardcourts this topspin is a destructive weapon and the opponent has nigthmares with this crazy spin..( Check for example Federer's press conference the day before Miami final )
By the way, the boy who is in your avatar has still nightmares with Nadal's topspin..
