Coria vs. González: interesting match

Guillermo Coria will face Fernando González in the 3rd Round of the Madrid AMS. Interesting match! Both are latin clay-courters who have recently improved a lot their game in other surfaces. It will be also the first time they face each other since that match in Rome when Coria got irritated with Feña's on-court behaviour (excessive cheering after points). In the end, after they shook hands, Coria just looked down, smiled and shaked his head disapprovingly.

Re: Coria vs. González: interesting match

If Coria played like today, Gonzalez will defeat him easily. Coria won a match without playing well. Coria will have to play better if he wants to defeat Fernando who played solid last week in Vienna (he only lost to the winner of the tournament), and yesterday, he also played good. So, Gonzalez will win, I hope in straights sets. Vamos Gonzalez, you are the best

Who will win in this typical Latin American battle of clay-court grinders? It will be exciting for sure.

Re: Coria vs. González: interesting match

If Gonzalez wins this, big things can happen to him in 2006. This is a test. He has choked insanely against Coria in the past

Re: Coria vs. González: interesting match

i agree that if coria wants to win he has to increase his game alot, gonzo is playing well, and he wants to break his jinx against coria.

On fast courts, Gonzalez will win, that's sure. I hope I won't bring him bad luck. I'm confident !!

Re: Coria vs. González: interesting match

Gonzalez is shooting too wild. Coria just need putting ball into court and wait for error of Gonzalez to overpower. Gonzalez needs a consistent good match, else he not win, I predict.

Re: Coria vs. González: interesting match

I think Gonzalez will win in 2.... Although I don't like him too much, I think Gonzalez, as a player, is underrated.

Nalbandian - JMDP - Djokovic - Nadal - Mathieu - Verdasco - Coria - Tipsarevic - Nieminen - Calleri
