Amalgamate WTA/ATP players' names

I was just trawling through some of my old WTAWorld posts, and found I'd come up with some interesting combinations:

Kimos Clijya (I suppose Carlim Moysters has a nice ring to it too)
Amelermo Mauria
Danid Hantuchandian
Fabrice Zulutoro (or if you prefer, Fabiola Santuaga)
Anavan Ivanicic (Ivan Ivanovic would just be too confusing)
Jenvier Caprisse? After all, they were once an item...
Eledorn Dementaphan
Pattelo Schnyios
Gise Dulkasuso (OK, that's not too imaginative since they're from the same country)

The Wit and Wisdom of the Tennis Journalist, Indian Wells 2004

ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I remember this one time when I went on a vacation on the Maldives. That was in the year 2001, I think. I went to this spa. I went to walk around with my girlfriend. I walk in, and we want to book a spa. This guy goes, "AHH, I remember you. You beat Sampras. I saw you on TV." That was like, really, how can you remember me? This guy has probably never been off his island and still knows me. I was a little bit shocked. Then I went to play tennis with him because he was actually the tennis teacher. It was nice.

Q. Were you naked at the time in the spa?

ROGER FEDERER: No. It was at the front desk. I didn't walk in naked.

This is what happens when Rogi is out of action for awhile...

Hopp Rogi! Go Gonzo! Allez Gasquet!

It's trivia, but dammit, it's my kind of trivia.

I had to look up the word "amalgamate" in a dictionary first...

This thread is going to crash and burn, isn't it?

I'm running low on inspiration at the moment, something more intelligent might be produced in the next few weeks.

I can't imagine you ever running low on inspiration

You've inspired so many people on this forum, maybe one of your prodigies can come up with something.

Anagrams are when you take the same letters, such as someone's name, and reorder them. (The simplest eg. Moya to Mayo). Sjengster is just crashing two names together and studying the wreckage.
Actually anagrams have more potential. I will work on a few. Could be fun.

Thats what I thought he was doing actually. I was too disgusted by the lack of quality in Sjengsters post to read it fully. I must say I didn't know this was called an amalgamate though

It is his invention, so maybe it is an amalgamate from now on.
But the only name that rolls off the tongue is Jenvier Caprisse, sounds like a movie star.
Good anagrams are going to take a lot of work. There goes the weekend.

Re: Amalgamate WTA/ATP players' names

"Amalgamate" as I used it was actually a suggestion to others, not a noun. I believe it can be used as a noun, though.

There you go buddyholly, my true purpose is revealed - spurring others on to far greater creative heights. Gored Redreef, anyone?
