should davis cup be played every two years

In an article on bbc federer said the following

"Personally I would like to see the Davis Cup being played every two years, which would give everybody a much bigger chance to take part."

does anyone share this view or is it best kept every year

Re: should davis cup be played every two years

I would rather the championship was played over a 2 year span mainly due to the scheduling problems and nagging injury concerns that some players have. Some people are appalled when players decide to skip Davis Cup to focus more on their careers, and families but with the current scheduling I say to them.

My great tennis loves-Roger Federer, Paul Henry Mathieu and Marat Safin

Grigor Dimitrov & David Goffin - The future of tennis

Allez - Jerzy Janowicz, Jose Acasuso , Lleyton, Djokovic, Nalbandian, Clement, Nicolas Almagro, Stanislas Wawrinka

Nice one genius that is your best ever post in this forum.

No, then again the Davis Cup is not just about the top nations, but it's easy to forget about those federations that pretty much get their cash from Davis Cup ties.

The only thing that should be done to it, is that it has 14 teams with the top 2 teams having a bye into the quarters, and those who lose in the QF have to fight for their place in the World Group in the next year.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

I have given my reasons as to why it shouldn't happen, you think it's bullshit. There we've come on agreement and agitated I don't think so.

GWH, I think you may have missed the smileys. I know what you think on the subject so hence the joke.

I don't think your reasoning is bullshit at all. It's completely valid. I see it differently, that's all.

Smileys I am still getting used to them and as I said we completely disagree on this issue, then again one sees a small picture and the other doesn't.

Smileys are good. Yes, we disagree and I won't go into that last statement.
