Gael must be more agressive and steady mentally, he has a shot at it. Jenkins I didn't see him.
Gasquet will be in top 5 soon I think.

"I asked a bloke in the front row if he liked the serve-and-volley stuff," said Rafter. "He said he did but asked if he was going to get to see any rallies. 'Not today, mate,' I told him."

Jenkins in really good player, he played really well against Nadal

Monfils is a good young player and he has won his first ATP title.

I'm not afraid of anyone, but sometimes I'm afraid of myself.
-Justine Henin-Hardenne-

Life it's a great game.
-Andre Agassi-

He was too good. I would suggest to his next opponent that he doesn't look to me for advice.

Re: Will these 2 guys own Men's Tennis?

Why those two?

Are they just so supremely more talented than the rest of their generation? I don't really think so. Not only are they part of a very talented group of guys coming up, but they are going to have to deal with Nadal their whole careers, and it's not like Fed is going to drop dead tomorrow either.

Troicki - Djokovic - Del Potro - Kyrgios - Berankis
Cibulkova - Robson - Kirilenko - Azarenka
Retired but always loving Ferrero - Ancic - Kiefer

Re: Will these 2 guys own Men's Tennis?

Scoville Jenkins has the raw talent to make more of an impression in tennis than Gael Monfils. I'll give him a little more time and if he is really dedicated to the success of his game, "watch out for him"

Gael Monfils is overrated.

However, there are a lot of new faces coming on the scene that are full of talent. I also don't see Nadal going anywhere. If anything, I see Nadal and Federer dominating next year for sure.

Federer is 'outfoxing'/making sure Nadal doesn't catch him, and Nadal is hunting Roger. The others are somewhere behind asking Safin in his moments of mental clarity for advice on how to catch the two of them.

Re: Will these 2 guys own Men's Tennis?

They are exactly the same age as Nadal and Gasquet. I don't know why Jenkins and Monfils are even mentioned in the same sentence as Gasquet and Nadal. There is a HUGE difference here. When Federer has had enough fun, tennis will be dominated by Nadal and Gasquet, and if Gasquet is able to improve physically he will be the clear number one in a few years.

My post included a big IF, so I don't feel like God or anything. But my job is trying to see the future in tennis, but I can tell you it isn't always so easy...
