Is the end of year #1 ranking officially sewn up now?

Aren't Nadal's options full now? I'm thinking with just two masters series and the TMC left, that's 360 possible points if Nadal runs the deck and since Roger is 357 points clear all he has to do is show up at his final events without even winning a match and he's locked up #1. Is this correct?

Roger has over 2,000 points over Nadal. Nadal will not catch him and next year Nadal will have to win Oz and RG along with defending most of his points.

from the race point of view and not entry rankings, it's a long shot.

roger would probably win thailand, shanghai and probably 1 of 2 of the remaining masters

No, Nadal can only get 350 possible points, not 360.

Both TMS events = 100 points each
The TMC = 150 points

So that's 350 possible points for Nadal, and Roger is 357 ahead, meaning Nadal would fall 7 short, assuming that Roger did not play again for the year, and Nadal won everything.

It will count as Nadal has 6 optionals for this year. This is because he wasn't ranked high enough to play Paris Bercy last year, so he's allowed another until Nov 7.

Fed is safe for now.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

This year might have been the only real chance Nadal had at overthrowing Federer as Number 1, I know Federer is able to do this year in and year out, but im not sure about Nadal!

Time will tell. There is no reason, given his age, that Nadal does worse than this year. The only danger for him is that a new player burst into the scene and steal him some points on clay court events.
