Has M.Safin already withdrawn?

Because if he hasn't yet, don't expect him to play even 3 rounds. I have seen him practicing twice at the Open (one of them a set against A.Murray and another against C.Moya) and he was quite noticeably limping in the first one and cut short in the second (against Carlos). He then sat down and looked very subdued talking to Lundgren and a few other people about the knee. Moya was sitting next to him looking very sympathetic. Lundgren looked upset.

This is so bad!!! I hope there's nothing serious, and if he's really injured, then he should rest, he could make it worse!!!

Re: Has M.Safin already withdrawn?

I have read reports elsewhere that he's been limping. One person wrote that he apparently twisted his right knee.

by the way, he beat Murray in a tie-break and I'm not sure about the score against Carlos.

What's to be sad about? He was knocked out first round last year. What's changed?

It's sad that he is injured and in obvious pain, Mr. Ignorant.

he should look after his health

why is it easier to hurt someone with words than with deeds?

doesnt sound good, hope its nothing serious, he shouldn't risk making it any worse

Rafa Nadal Juanqui Ferrero

Marat Safin Carlos Moya Feli Lopez Nando Verdasco Richie Gasquet

Robredo Guga Garcia-Lopez Ferrer Tomeu

Interviewer: It surprises people how well you get on with Nadal
Carlos Moya: I can't conceal that. I love him very much and I knew that one day he would be better than me. He's on another level.

Re: Has M.Safin already withdrawn?

I know he has the next few months to worry about but surely the US Open is priority. If he can just hold on for the next 2 weeks, he gets a long break before any important tournaments come along.
