Great article...US Open '05 - A Look Forward

Hey guys,

Just after reading a really cool article previewing next week's US Open. It's by a guy called Alan Murphy, have any of you read anything by him before? He seems to really know what he's talking about, he makes some good points. Here's the link, it's on www.inside-tennis.net:

http://www.inside-tennis.net/index.p...article&id=171

It's really long, but a good read.

Enjoy!

That was a very good article and all that was said in there is virtually true.

"The artist is nothing without the gift, but the gift is nothing without work."

Go Federer, Nadal!!!

So what of the challengers then? Can anyone take Federer's crown? Well there’s one guy that stands a more than fair chance. You might have heard of him. His name’s Raphael Nadal.
Sorry, never heard of him.

and another piece of sloppy research:

He proved this by winning Montreal a couple of weeks back, and he was points away from destroying Federer at Indian Wells in March.

Re: Great article...US Open '05 - A Look Forward

I think "you might have heard of him" was meant to be sarcastic. And what was wrong about Montreal, he did win it. And at Indian Wells he had Roger almost beaten in the straight sets. I thought it was a great read!

Re: Great article...US Open '05 - A Look Forward

i think they're referring to the misspelling of his name and the fact that it was in MIAMI that he nearly beat Fed...

It was in Miami, though.

Sorry but it was in Miami. Federer beat Hewitt comfortably in Indian Wells.

Thanks for the article, I will read it when I can spare the time.

Re: Great article...US Open '05 - A Look Forward

There's nothing new or noteworthy in that article. It isn't even good in any sense, the author shows a lot of bias and those of you who call this a long article surely don't read a lot.

17 (yes, yes, yes!) Slams! And counting....
