Vin Doggy Dogg: yet another example of a multi-talented tennis player.

My apologies if this has been posted before, but I have recently discovered that top tennis player Vincent Spadea, is also quite the lyricist.

Here is an ode to his homeboy A to the Rod:

Roddick is the hottest product
After I played him, I needed an anti-biotic
He's not robotic
But he's patriotic
I had a thought in my head, he hit a serve and I forgot it
Roddick
If he's in a tournament, you boycott it

Re: V-Diddy: representing the East Coast with pride

Vin Doggy Dogg at it again, with a shout out to his sista Venus:

Yo imagine if my name was Vince Williams,
I’d be worth tens of millions,
Billions now working on zillions . . .
I’d be looking more familiar,
Like Serena and Venus Williams—
People say I look Brazilian
Chilean
I rather look like Williams
I’d be the hottest civilian,
Forget Timbaland, they’d call me Tibillion,
Vince Williams
Yo if rearrange my name, to Venic,
I’d be on the court like the leanest and meanest
Kinda like Venus, only she a genius.
I’m not as crazy as Charlie Sheen is
And not as fly as Serena and Venus,
But somewhere in the middle
The riddle,
My backhands got a fine-dime sizzle
For shizzle my nizzle,
But Vince needs the name more than just a little
Feeling brittle, fitter than a fiddle,
I, like the Williams,
Get me a passport filled with the brilliance
I’m like the grinch who stole gazillions
’Cause Vince just stole the name Williams . . .
I got sted up at the Fed Cup,
I’m fed up,
Venus—never let up,
I know your girls are singing the black eyes peas
Shut up, Vince . . . peace

Re: V-Diddy: representing the East Coast with pride

Tennis Week: We heard you were either recording your own rap CD or you were going to contribute a rap track to a CD compilation of tennis players' music. What's the status of that?

Vince Spadea: I've done some samples. I was contracted to do this compilation CD that you heard about. To be honest with you, the people involved haven't informed me of the updated status. I know the project has been pushed back at least once and at this point I think it's under a "pending" mark. Nothing is really finalized yet. I imagine a possibility of something happening late in 2005, but it's hard to quote me because nothing has been finalized. It's not moving too fast and I'm a little disappointed. I enjoy writing so I'm looking forward to some projects in music. I've actually written a sample chapter for a book and we have some publishers interested and it looks good.

Re: V-Diddy: representing the East Coast with pride

and here's more:

this time, Spadea rapping about himself.

I’m Spadea
I ain’t afraid of ya
I’ll put a check mate on ya
Because I’m the Italian Gladiator
I’m at the Olympics
So watch it, because I’m hotter than Sea or Limp Biscuit

Vince Spadea showing his love for Steve Bellamy in a rap song

"The Tennis Channel is going to be big, in my opinion. He's (Steve Bellamy) a nice guy too, we're good friends. Actually, here's a rap I wrote about Steve, see if you like it:

He can befriend your enemy,
the only thing crazier than hell and me,
is this guy named Steve Bellamy.
He always keeps selling me,
telling me,
his passion for tennis is like an unchained melody,
he puts more time in tennis than a guy with 10 felonies,
cause he's Steve Bellamy.

He thinks he's cultural by drinking zinfandel and brie,
but Steve you gotta stop putting caramel in tea,
he's Bellamy,
There's something compelling me,
that there's a parallel in me to Steve Bellamy,
tennis' biggest personality is Steve Bellamy and not Ellen and me
."
