Nadal is in no way a bad matchup for Novak, quite the opposite. Of course he's an issue for everybody on clay regardless of matchup but his superior H2H stats are a reflection of his qualities as a player in SPITE of the match up issue.

Apologies if I was unclear. I meant the slam H2H (5 RG meetings).

Not necessarily, you can have specific matchup problems against players you're inferior to overall.

Obviously, the better a player is overall, the less likely he is to be troubled by many players' gamestyles.

MTF games titles:

Fill-in-the-Draw (3): US Open 2014, Rotterdam 2013 and Geneva 2015 - 1 Slam, 1 ATP 500 and 1 ATP 250

Tennis Tipping (3): Veneza and Todi 2014 (with vn01), Knoxville 2015 (with Redkop) - 3 challengers; 7 finals lost

Nadal/Djokovic is more like an even match-up than Djokovic being a bad match-up for Nadal.

This. Matches like AO 2012 and RG 2013 SF are prime example of this.

Maybe on clay where Nadal can do things to trouble Novak like kick the ball up really high to the FH. On HC Novak is most definately a bad match up though. Nothing about Nadal's game specifically troubles him on the surface, to win he needs to be the much better player on the day as with his two US Open wins.

It's the same on clay though. Djokovic needs to play at his VERY best for pretty much the whole match to beat Rafa on clay. That's why I think it's more even. Rafa has advantage on clay and Nole on HC but they can beat each other on any surface if they play at their best. I actually think that Rafa is not really disadvantaged on fast HCs (if we don't count indoors). It's about even battle there since fast HC can reward his aggressive game when on. He struggles so much vs Novak on slow HC.

Rafa is ClayGOAT though, so it's not about matchup that Novak needs to play so well to beat him on clay. In fact the fact that he's beaten him 3 times and took him to 5 at RG last year shows it's still a good matchup for Novak. I agree though that in the end between them it really comes down to who is better on the day (and that Nadal has better chances on a faster HC) but Novak has more of a matchup advantage on his favourite surface while on Nadal's favourite surface it's still pretty even.

Nole isn't done yet. At the end he'll have 5 non AO slams in his trophy cabinet. Deal with it. Djokovic is better than Nadal but he was unlucky for his Allergies. If he had peaked in 2010 instead of 2011, imagine what the scenario would be!

But still Djoko will win 10 slams slapping Nadal every time in his prime

And no, he (Murray) is not overrated. He's technically a better grass player than Djokovic is.
Those three titles the Serb give him statistics on the surface than he does, considering he plays the same damn way he does on clay and still wins the title. Slow as fuck grass does that. It's the same for Nadal during 2006-11.

Re: Who is the worst matchup for Djokovic?

Nole is the worst matchup of himself. Only his level determines the winner as his talent is far above any opponent. He just wants to be creative and exciting and this makes his level drop down, after all how boring would it be if he won in a mechanical way?

Haha try again. Novak is a better player and only lost so many times to Nadal before he hit his peak. Of Novak hit 2011 form before Dull would have no chance. But don't worry, Dull gets Wristovic in the Rome final

Look at stats. Nadal only beats Novak when he plays terrible tennis, on any surface but especially HC in which he doesn't need to be anywhere his best to beat peak Dull on that surface.
