Nishikori playing very good, chances at RG?

What do you guys think? This man with pure shot making talent, one of the best footwork on tour can challenge defensive mugs at RG? How far he'll go ?

And no, he (Murray) is not overrated. He's technically a better grass player than Djokovic is.
Those three titles the Serb give him statistics on the surface than he does, considering he plays the same damn way he does on clay and still wins the title. Slow as fuck grass does that. It's the same for Nadal during 2006-11.

You-think-Nishi-would-survive-5-sets-on-clay-with-ferrer,djokovic,nadal.....and-then-beat-all-the-top-claycourt-specialists-in-the-earlier-rounds-before-that?

Hes-had-an-easy-run-here.

considering he's only made 1 slam QF I think its a stretch to assume that he can now make the jump to champion

I think he could try to at least get to another QF though although the seedings would be hard for him as he could face a Top 10 player at the 4th Round.

I watched his match with Gulbis and was so disappointed with Gulbis' game. He did nothing. Cilic as well, What happened to those guys. Dolgopolov was hot for three events and then nothing.Monfils was hot for two matches only. I really can not say who can do better in FO. Who knows maybe they like to save energy and do not get injured for FO.

I think 4th round at best is what he can hope for.

Clay-isnt-about-talent,its-about-being-smart,being-patient-and-working-continuously-hard.

No-denying-his-talent-but-clay-isnt-about-talent-otherwise-federer-wouldnt-have-only-1-frenchopen

he'd need a good draw for a QF. I suppose if he brings this kind of form for roland garros then a QF is possible but that's still a while away and he's still yet to be able to prove he can play this well for a prolonged period of time.

then there's dangerous good clay courters that will be unseeded that would be favored over him in best of 5

Nishikori will likely be injured for RG. Sad but history of his career.
