Re: H2Hs in the Round of 16

I am looking forward to the Federer vs Ferrero match. This should be interesting, JC has been playing really well, and seems to be rolling over mainly grass players, and Federer is a bit streaky so who knows might be a really good match. Since this grass I give the edge to Federer.

Ancic vs Lopez I think will be awesome, I love lefties and those serves are so hard to read. Ancic has his work cut out for him, I am not sure but I think Lopez might pull an upset here.

Nalbandian vs Gasquet will be awesome, Nalbandians serve is well just bad. Gasquet has a solid return game, and I think his fitness is better than Murray. Should be very interesting.

As for the rest I'm not sure about how I feel about them.

My great tennis loves-Roger Federer, Paul Henry Mathieu and Marat Safin

Grigor Dimitrov & David Goffin - The future of tennis

Allez - Jerzy Janowicz, Jose Acasuso , Lleyton, Djokovic, Nalbandian, Clement, Nicolas Almagro, Stanislas Wawrinka

Ai Se Eu Te Pego - Michel Telo

I agree with that. Ferrero was superb against Mayer today. If Federer plays the same game he did v Kiefer he'll certainly come unstuck

As far as Roddick v Coria goes, as a Roddick fan, I'm glad that Andy has such a good H2H against him but I'm not sure how relevant it is since they've never met on grass before. Coria has obviously found his feet on this surface now. If he plays the way he did today, I think Roddick will win it, but not in straight sets.

Re: H2Hs in the Round of 16

1 Federer SWE v. 4 Ferrero ESP Gotta give the edge to Roger here having won last 3 meetings and 31 straight on grass. Roger in 3.

21 Gonzalez ARG vs. 31 Youzhny RUS He, another Argentinian in the 4th round Gonzalez CHI in 4.

3 Hewitt AUS vs. 24 Dent USA Tough to call, I don't find Hewitt's form all that convincing. Still I think he will pull through, probably losing a set.

10 Ancic CRO vs. 26 Lopez ESP Another tough one, but I think Ancic will come through eventually. Ancic played some solid stuff in the first week and he seems really focused. Ancic in 4.

12 Thomas Johannsen SWE vs. Mirnyi BEL Mirnyi only one of two non-seeds to make it through to the second week. H2H really favors ToJo, although I think this might be close. ToJo in 5.

18 Nalbandian ARG vs. 27 Gasquet FRANalbandian leads H2H 2-0, but Gasquet has really improved a lot over the last couple of months. Unless Nalbandian improves substantially over his performance today I see Gasquet running away with this one. Gasquet in 3.

9 Grosjean FRA vs. Tursunov RUS Tursunov is the surprise in the 4th round. After his victory over Henman I thought he'd end up losing to Popp, but he got through that match as well. 4th round will be the end of the line for him as Grosjean is too solid for him. Grosjean in 3.

2 Roddick USA vs. 15 Coria ARG Although I'd like to you really can't go against Andy here. The courts seem to be slower than ever, but still the Roddick serve will dominate this match. Roddick in 3.

ROGER FEDERER

Berdych, Blake, J. Johansson, Ljubicic, Nalbandian and Tursunov

Gasquet has really become another player since his when over Fed. I also think he's been pushed to succeed by Nadal.

Maybe

Re: H2Hs in the Round of 16

Federer vs. Ferrero
Roger ofcourse, but in 4...Ferrero could give him hard time
Youzhny vs. Gonzalez
Could be in 5 sets, little advantage to Fernando
Hewitt vs. Dent
Taylor in 4, Hewitt just doesnt seem in-form
Ancic vs. Lopez
Lopez is frustrated when facing big servers, Ancic is one of them. Mario in 4.
Johansson vs. Mirnyj
Tough call, Mirnyj looked great in first weak. Max in 5.
Nalbandian vs. Gasquet
Probably greatest match od last 16, i give Nalby edge. I know he is in bad shape, but Im not sold on Gasquets, he lacks strenght.
Grosjean vs. Tursunov
Dima is having best days of his life, so...Tursunov in 5
Roddick vs. Coria
Roddick in 4

Re: H2Hs in the Round of 16

Well since JC did have match points against Federer in their last meeting in Dubai, and has been playing really well here, I am excited to see that match. As a JC fan though I'm of course scared that Roger will bring his game to the next level after being threatened by Kiwi today.

I'm also looking forward to Ancic/Lopez. I could see either one of them winning that match.

Troicki - Djokovic - Del Potro - Kyrgios - Berankis
Cibulkova - Robson - Kirilenko - Azarenka
Retired but always loving Ferrero - Ancic - Kiefer

A very slight correction. Federer is not from Sweden (SWE), but from Switzerland (SUI)
Fernando Gonzalez is from Chili.

Roger, Chiudi, Stan the Man, Michi, Timea, Swiss guys and girls

good luck RF!!

Undoubtedly his win against Fed has provided added impetus in his climb to the top. Some say Nadal has more determination. I would be disinclined to agree. Let's not forget Richard won his first ATP match as a 15 year old and then sunk like a rock following that. Given all the pressure that has been heaped on his shoulder by the French (who are just as eager if not more so for French tennis success than the British), that he went back to play Future and Challengers and learnt to win and then come back this year illustrates his strength of character. Lesser players would have disappeared. Richard I think has plenty enough cojones to aim for the top and match Nadal for grit.

Please see here if interested in downloading tennis matches.

Contrary to popular belief, I am not a Rafa hater. I am, however, a RAFATARD hater and therefore take endless delight in each Rafa loss as it allows me to sock it hard to his tards. Do try and understand the difference (TARDS)! Don't get me started on Choke-ovic though. Him I do despise. And his TARDS are the lowest of the low .
