What? I think she has proved that she can play well on grass, 1 F and 2 SF appearences, it's not something many fastcourters can say out there. Plus, her game is really suited to grass - she just got outplayed by a great grasscourter who had beaten her in the past on the same surface and she wasn't fully fit nor healthy and had no preparation at all. The clay haters cannot compare Justine to Nadal, he's yet to prove he can do well on grass.

Back to the topic, I kinda expected for him to at least reach R32, but seems like Muller played a great match. He has much time and room to improve on his game to do well on faster surfaces, but whoever thought he was gonna do a Bjorn Borg this year was just

Unfortunately, I believe Rafa has committed to Bastaad (Swedish Open) & Umag. Only hard court tourneys he's playing are Montreal, Cincy, & US Open. He's a smart guy, he should know, especially after today's loss, he needs to keep working on fast surfaces and not go back to the slow clay, which honestly I can only see hindering him even further at this point. I don't care if he's supposed to play doubles in Sweden with Monaco or not, the young man needs to get himself to North America for the rest of the summer!

That said, I'm hoping Feli can give Rafa some tips before their next doubles match.

I saw the stats, someone was right, 1 out of 13 in terms of break chances, thats not good.
Wow- yeah, he does need to work on that.

Wasn't he supposed to play in Gstaad also?

You realy have problems with logic, do you? Everyone improves, but no one can become something else than what he is. Nadal can't become another player - he is more or less what he is, we see his game, he is never going to be something else. He will improve, yes, everyone is improving, but he will never be a force on the grass. Federer ousted an in-form Sampras on grass when he was 18, remember? Hewitt and Nalbandian were also a force on Wimbledon very young etc. Yes, Nadal is a clay-corter, and line my words: he will never be even as good as Agassi was on Wimbledon.

And I am not speaking about Borg, but about Nadal.

Re: Muller def. Nadal 64 46 63 64

This once again proves only one thing when comparing Roger and Nadal.

There's no comparasion.

Like I said before, once Nadal starts winning Queens or Halle on a consistent basis and reaches at least the semi's of Wimbledon, can you even start comparing him with Federer.

Hopefully Nadal will not be label a grinder. He needs to generate some racquet speed on his serve.

Well, yes...I agree but tell that to the clay surface haters. Not really on this board but on other boards, people were having a party after her defeat.
Henin has already proven that she can do well on grass. In the press, she said that she had too little practice on the grass surface before coming to Wimbledon. Nadal had a similar problem: too little experience. Give him time.

He is still so young and he's already achieved so many things. It's too soon to tell how well he can do on grass but he has plenty of years to improve and at least, he has the ambition and the willpower to adapt to this surface.

Im not surprised at all on other surfaces besides clay Nadal is pretty ordinary, not a threat to Federer or any other top players!
