hitchhikers guide to tha Wimbledon galaxy

now that the real season has began after the clay exhibition of crap. lets go through seeds

seed 1: federer - arrogant man this one is. only 23, has won a few slams and now acts like king of the world. have a look at this.

``I came into Wimbledon last year with a lot of pressure on me, as I
was defending my title for the first time, but this year will be a lot
easier,'' Federer said before the draw. ``As soon as I get going I will
be tough to beat.''

http://sports.yahoo.com/ten/news?slu...v=ap&type=lgns

never hear sampras make comments like this but federer feels the need to pump himself up with arrogance, is he worried he will go slamless? a loss at wimbledon could send him to the alps for a while.

easy draw for him but ancic will beat him in semis and if not roddick will pump him full of aces.

seed 2: roddick

his year too win wimbledon. hard draw but he will deliver. you mark my words, this is roddicks year. he will win this year. pressure not on him and he is focused and ready to outlast and outsurvive everyone.

seed 3: hewitt
will cry about #2 seeds. is injured. needs to get back to australia as he is not wanted here.

seed 4: safin
crazy russian will be drinking vodka on fly back to siberia before first week is over.

seed 5: nadal
this isnt clay that makes things slow motion. need real skill here. lets see if you have it.

Others:
henman: go back and drink english tea, at least you have grass skills but not enough of them.

puerta: watching this guy on grass will be like watching a elephant trying to ice skate. hopefully they put him on center court and then throw the strawberries at him.

Love it!!!!!
Espec. words on Fed, he is always bragging about his status. I know journos ask him these questions, but he could say nothing.
I hope roddick beats him.

always context this blah blah blah. arrogant is stating facts that are obvious to all but need not to be told. sampras never said "i am greatest of all time, kiss my hairy ass laver" he was modest.

as for pies. i am making birthday pie for anyone who beats federer as he has problems with birthdays. special roddick birthday on day of final i think, ill bake the pie.

And the rest is history. Maybe it's a good omen

Re: hitchhikers guide to tha Wimbledon galaxy

i just read this on another tennis forum. forget shakespeare, we got new king of literature. have truer words even been spoken?
its a shame i didnt write this but only genios write like this.

clay its for.....the casual tennis fans, the low-skilled masses who still wanted to
play, rather than giving up as it's too hard. Bit like ice-skating,
skiing etc - takes some skill to achieve. Also good for the countries
with a history of poor tennis ability (you know who you are) - levels
the playing field so they can compete with the talented types.
Volleying, reflex shots are just too hard. Some nice bumrooting where
you can just focus all the brain cells on 1 shot over & over is what's
called for - 'wow, look at me - I'm a fucking tennis player too!'...

this is awesome. whoever write this is einstein, conficious and pythogoras rolled into one

Re: hitchhikers guide to tha Wimbledon galaxy

Hitchhiker your Federer bashing and Roddick pimping is getting a little boring. Why dont you try something new.
You should be more worried about Roddicks chances of even making the finals this year.

My great tennis loves-Roger Federer, Paul Henry Mathieu and Marat Safin

Grigor Dimitrov & David Goffin - The future of tennis

Allez - Jerzy Janowicz, Jose Acasuso , Lleyton, Djokovic, Nalbandian, Clement, Nicolas Almagro, Stanislas Wawrinka

Ai Se Eu Te Pego - Michel Telo

Re: hitchhikers guide to tha Wimbledon galaxy

one funny contribution, Hitchhiker

I see we share our love for grasscourt tennis, it's my speech: no more clay which protects those who can't handle the faster conditions, no more claying around, "real" skills different skills needed here... you say it!

But in difference to you I think that Nadal will do well in Wimbledon and I've already read more arrogant quotes than the one of Federer stated in your quote...

Yes, Puerta will be definitely one to watch at Wimbledon. But it's hard to see a bigger grasscourt match happening than the one between the grass specialists Puerta and Puentes some years ago. However, given the enormous withdrawals of players with (ARG) behind their names, I actually must give some credit to Puerta that he doesn't have any injury that prevents him from playing Wimbledon.

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy
