I love Christian Ronaldo. He has a cousin too, you know, Jewish Ronaldo. The Spanish Inquisition wouldn't let him play alongside him in Madrid though.

I remember a few pundits like John McEnroe suggesting that in the media, but I can't recall any posters here who seriously believed such a thing (although I've only been around since Oct. 2011). Regardless, he's on the way to having a fine career so long as your expectations aren't totally unrealistic (such as him becoming the next Sampras or some other exaggeration).

Well he had a showcourt match against Ebden I think so he got Grand Slam exposure in one the main stages. That said, facing a Top 10 Player I agree could give him international focus. I hope he does well on Wimbledon/USO IMO (I am not sure about his Clay performances) as he might have a chance there.

The next few months are going to be interesting for Vasek and Milos. Can Vasek reach the top 20? Will Milos get back into the top 10? Now that Grigor Dimitrov has stepped it up winning the ATP 500 in Mexico and reaching the AO quarterfinals.

No. Aaaaaaaaaaand no. Dimitrov is in a different league, the competition is too strong.

Milos is not going back into the top 10 solidly any time soon. With Tsonga and Gasquet as 10 and 9, its too strong a firewall for him to overcome. In addition, Milos is defending 600 pts in Montreal, points that he's unlikely to defend. I expect him to finish around, say 12-14.

Lol at Vasek in the top 20. I'll believe it when I see him play well outside of Canada.

Clearing out the cobwebs....

He didn't look to be in much of a different league at the AO when an injured Milos nearly beat him in an incredibly close match.

Gasquet's part of the strong firewall that's going to keep the current world #11 out of the top 10?

The guy less than 400 points outside the top 20 with virtually nothing to defend until the summer? No shot!

I wasn't laughing of that.

You said "incredibly close match". Wasn't even a 5 setter and Grigor was clearly the better player, only close set was the 4th.

Also, how do you know he played the Aussie injured? He could get injured during the match.

Btw, will he play in Indian Wells?

Ride the hype train that is beating an injured Big 4 opponent or vulturing their way through to a grand slam semifinal, just like Eugenie Bouchard

Otherwise, they'll remain unknowns

Federer. Vika. Hingis.
Venus.

What rivalry? I win all the matches. [Hingis, 1998]

Neither have explosive personalities, not explosive results as of yet. A Masters 1000 would be big, maybe a slam SF
