RECORD for most tournaments won by one player in a country other than the US.

I was thinking about this after Federer made his way in to the SF at Halle meaning that he has a chance to win his 7th title in Germany. 3 TMS Hamburg, 3? Halle, 1 Munich. There are a lot of factors that take away from who has the most since tournaments cease to exist and not everyone has a chance to win them.

Who has the record for most tournament titles won in one country other than the U.S.? You can't count he U.S. in this since the most tournaments are played here by far. I think John McEnroe won something like 35 or 40 titles here as did Lendl. Connors probably won something like 70 titles in the U.S.

Michael Stich has won 7 different titles in Germany

Stich was the ultimate master in winning tournaments in Germany. He has won every possible ATP tournament that was played in Germany, something even Becker never came any close.

Carlos --- C'MON Lleyton!!! --- Kiwi!!! --- Jürgen --- Juan

Best of luck to all Germans : Nicolas Kiefer | Rainer Schüttler | Lars | Florian | Tommy

Boris has 7 in the UK - 3 Wimbledon, 4 Queens
Muster has 7 in Italy - 3 Rome, 3 Florence and 1 Bari (and he also has 1 Palermo and 2 San Marino titles so he did really well in that area)

Sorry, my mistake, I spelt it not correctly. I meant his Genova title.

No, Palermo is counted as one for Italy. So 9 in Italy for Muster counting Genova.

Is Monte Carlo counted as France then or Monaco? If Monte Carlo is France then Borg has a couple in Monte Carlo as well I think.

Yeah it depends how you want to see it. Strictly seen, Monaco is an independent "country". Like San Marino or Vatican City in Italy.
