Maria used to be a cow on clay, but in the last two years it's become her best surface, even winning RG in 2012 - and she has a very good chance of defending it this year.

I don't see why Andy can't get better, his potential is way too good not to win a RG.

Was Nadal not in the draw last year?

Yes. despite that Murray was just a couple of sets from winning the whole thing and possibly would have had the majority of the match not been played indoors.
