Re: Andy Murray on clay

I'm actually looking forward to next clay season- I think Andy could definitely take Ferrer and give a good battle to the other guys on clay.

Re: Andy Murray on clay

Del potro could be 100% come next clay season so little chance of murray winning anything on the dirt

Juan Martin Del Potro

But he lost 23 times against you.
's right. We have to also throw into the mix. But I do not think it is currently the decisive factor. But he has achieved in my opinion too much. Maybe this is crucial if I move him even closer after major victories. But 14 or 17 Grand Slam titles is a significant difference. At the present time there is no question that he must be the greater player than me.

Re: Andy Murray on clay

I am a fan of Del Potro but to suggest he is even in the same stratosphere as Murray is ludicrous I hope he is a top eight seed going into Roland Garros.

I actually hope he does, but seeing how few positives he took from beating Djokovic into being routined by Blake, I think it's going to be a longer road for DelPo.

Wouldn't surprise me if del potro was 5th seed at roland garros.

Re: Andy Murray on clay

Both Pushray and Del Bashtro suck on clay - RG lost a lot of prestige when those 2 mugs reached SF there

Why not? This clay field is shite. Against a proper clay field he wouldn't be making SFs at RG of course.

About Murray progressively getting better on all surfaces throughout the years, and playing consistently well this year from clay season onwards? That's pretty much the opposite of a fluke. Last year he said, I'm going to focus more on clay, to so I perform better and get more points, as he was missing out on mostly any clay season points before. And that's what he did.

The only person who's had a fluke year this year is Djokovic.

He's probably the 5th best player on clay, so of course he's going to replicate them. Don't forget he pushed both Nadal and Djokovic (the best players on clay) and almost beat Djokovic. Your boy was lucky Murray choked up in that match.
