I'm sorry. None of them can even beat a retired Taylor Dent on clay, let alone Murray.

Great response.

Murray is ranked 24th on clay this year, despite the clay season being in the middle of his post AO slump. Last year, he was ranked tenth.

You think Murray plays worse on clay, than Braasch played on hardcourt, when he beat Serena 6-1?

Serena was barely 16 then. She can beat Braasch now

If Kohlschreiber could thrash Mugray 6-2,6-1 on clay then i dont see why the top women players do not have a decent chance at beating him as well.

Mugray is just useless on clay. His serve is rendered to nothing due to its slow speed and he does not know how to slide. He needs to first get a forehand and change his style of play before he can do better on the surface. Pushing is not the way to go. Mugray would get outbashed by Stosur and Serena if he faces them on clay. But definitely on hard courts he will beat them.

ARod may well produce epics vs the likes of Kleybanova on the clay. No doubt we would applaud the man for pushing her so far.

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Great tip to stay fit and mobile: If you run up and down the stairs two steps at a time at least once daily, there will never come a time when you can't do it. Until of course one day you mistime a step, collapse and break all your bones... That would suck. But you had a good run.

Kleybanova has no skill at all. She will not be able to break Roddick's serve so Roddick would probably win easily, something like 6-3,6-4

Nah. I'm using your logic, thinking ability and overall tennis knowledge.

She would destroy him.

Nah. My logic, thinking ability and overall tennis knowledge says Roddick will win easily. You have lots to learn to surpass me dude.

Because Kohlschreiber is an extremely talented player, who can challenge anyone when he's 'on', and Murray played very poorly in that match - and because WTA players simply aren't anywhere near the level of a top 100 ATP Pro.

I'll repeat: the rankings bear out that Murray is a top 20 player on clay, or thereabouts. He's not on the level of say, a Ferrer, but you'll remember that he was able to give Ferrer a decent test this year.

But Stosur and Serena are also talented and can challenge anyone on the ATP when they are 'on'. If Murray does not play decently and Stosur/Serena bring their A-game, they can definitely beat him.

And rankings do lie. Pics definitely does not play like he is no.7 in the world. Similarly, Murray is only ranked top 20 on clay due to his easy draws at the slams and masters series. Highest ranked opponent he beat was no.30, Baghdatis at the French. And he got bagelled in that match too

Surpass you in terms of what? Trolling ability? I'll pass thanks.

Roddick fails on clay far more than Murray ever will and is a far bigger pusher than Murray I might add. I'm sure you know that. If you really think Murray would lose to WTA players (no offence to them) then using that logic so would ARod.

I know you're just trolling, but I have fun having 'serious' discussions with trolls.

Re: Will Murray always suck on clay? Is there anything he can do?

Guess some people need to have it put into perspective to understand the concept. A top 200 clay court specialist would be beaten by "mug" clay players like Murray, ARod, Sampras way back when. Those same top 200 clay court specialists would inevitably beat the top WTA players on clay.

Don't try to say they won't. They would. There you are. Perspective.

So someone recently informed me that my sig was empty. Said I needed a life affirming motivational quote by a positive role model like Einstein or Oscar Wilde...

Re: Will Murray always suck on clay? Is there anything he can do?

Man I really wish they had a mixed tour so these WTA fanboys/girls stopped living in their lalaland and watched the reality when the women started getting destroyed and fell to 3 and 4 digits rankings.

There's a reason why most sports have men and women divisions, hint, it's not to protect the men.
