Lightbulb ESPN must have given commentators language training!

ESPN commentators are pronouncing French names, etc. correctly!

They've really, really improved this year. Until a few years ago, nobody in the U.S. media gave a damn.
I'll bet they had to tie them to a wall & whip into them how to say certain words correctly!

If they did pronounce something incorrectly, they immediately corrected it.
If some one else (namely Brad Gilbert) pronounced something incorrectly, he/she was immediately corrected.

They've obviously been lectured about this & maybe even have a cheat sheet at their desk to refer to.

They don't give the English pronunciation of Gasquet's first name Richard.

They don't say bag it for baguette.

Brad pronounced Monfils as MonfRils. Only Brad could just insert a letter out of nowhere.

Just check out my signature, they don't get it right all the time. I also enjoyed the multiple pronunciations of "Brzezicki." (although that one is understandable)
