Re: Gaudio gets a walkover in Round 2

Tursunov has had a history of back problems and injuries and it was back that flared up again.

Bad luck to Tursunov as he can't put any consistent time on the court and winning a match by a walkover is hollow as well.

Our commentators said he had a knee injury.

Re: Gaudio gets a walkover in Round 2

or he got scared of being hit with a ball in the face...

Q. When you've played as few matches as you have over the last two, three months, did you ever lack motivation to go out and practice?

ANDY RODDICK: Motivation? No. I enjoy what I do. I enjoy what I do. You know, I've never been one to, you know, blow off practice or, you know, do anything like that.

You know, I'd be lying if I said I'm looking forward to practicing the next two days as opposed to playing here. That part is gonna suck...(2010 Aegon Championships)

You're being sarcastic, I take it?

"What kind of shape am I in now? Well round is a shape." said Roddick with a laugh. "I had a very detailed retirement plan, and I feel like I've met every aspect of it: a lot of golf, a lot of carbs, a lot of fried food, and some booze, occasionally — I've been completely committed ... The results have shown."

I agree, and the draw this year isn't that great for him either. He's in the top half of the draw which is clearly the strongest half imo.

GASTON GAUDIO.....I miss my cat

Sometimes proud to be a Ducky fan, but has found a new Andy to love.
