" federer finally fit" new article

http://www.10sballs.com/2013/12/20/f...ederer-is-fit/

Basically his fitness guy pagialiani saying roger is finally getting back to his level of fitness that was gone for most of 2013.

Also another another article I can't link yet cause its a subscription only site says the following about federer:

- feels super fresh and started training on the courts 10 days after world tour finals

- speed, explosiveness, hunger which they point out was gone for all of 2013 as federer was actually feeling burned out even in 2013 aussie open from his 2012 season has returned.

-new raquet is giving him 6-8 kph more on serve. Roger also says he feels his serve is better than it has been in some time and that will be a key for him.
-he's hitting his forehands with much more pace mostly due to the new raquet and better explosiveness after being unable to train with pagliani 100% which he did not do for almost all of 2013 aside from mostly some rehab which federer says really got him behind.

I'm no Fakervic fan but he needs to save tennis, sadly tree trunk legs will be fresh. Interesting he's never questioned....

it would be incredible, the only thing federer related that looked like exploding last year was his gut

Re: " federer finally fit" new article

So was Federer not fit in those matches he lost last year? Just checking when that explanation is acceptable at MTF. If he really didn't have "hunger" for much of last year he's got bigger problems than injury. Let's see if he defends the AO SF first - one step at a time. Can't really have a worse year than 2013... So 2014 has to be better.

Every season since 2010 we hear this.

And every time it´s a disappointment.

I hope Federer kicks some ass in 2013 and gives us a taste of what it was like a few years ago

all he needs is to go back in time to get his younger fitness and become more confident againnnnnnnnnnnn

its not an excuse for last year, as he has always been less fit than murray, nadal and djokovic. I hope this is true especially the faster groundstrokes and serve. as he needs power because he cant move or defend as well as he used to.

federer fan, del potro fan and ferrer fan

Re: " federer finally fit" new article

The problem for Federer in 2014 is he will have to play a top 4 guy in the QF. If that is Ferrer, no problem. Otherwise, QF exit. Federer lucked out in 2012 when Nadal was absent for half the year, and Djokovic was sub-par.

That means he basically returned to 2006 form. I expect him to sweep the field next year. Sky is the limit

The game bores me now

Re: " federer finally fit" new article

I wonder if we'll ever see a truly lean and mean federer. Even at his peak he was never really that cut, now he's definitely gone down hill.

I'll believe it when I see it quite frankly

If one of Trump's racist domestic terrorist THUGS tries to stop you from voting, STAY in line, take their picture, call the police and call 1-866-OUR-VOTE. Spanish: 866-Ve-Y-Vota. Asian Languages: 866-API-Vote. Lawyers will be ready.

Whereas Federer, in an interview with Credit Suisse a few weeks ago, said he didn't expect to be back at full strength (my words, not his) until about April. We shall see.
