Predict Marin Cilic's 2014 season

My bet is he'll be ranked in tip 10 and will reach at least one GS final.

PS big thanks to InfoKenway for a great format!

Re: Predict Marin Cilic's 2014 season

If the serve from the del Potro match is real and the rest of his game goes back to where it was before, top 10 is not unreasonable really
Of course, he should still be suspended

I'll go with bouncer7's mystic idea of Cilic possibly winning the Australian Open, beating Djokovic, in straight sets, in route to the title.

Marin "Mlad" Cilic, that stripling!

He'll draw Nadal on AO R1. And people will still say Tio Toni rigged the draw, myself included.

He'll beat all of the big4 on his way to the title, and MTF will still say it was a fluke run.

TT Singles Titles:
2014: Noumea CH, Ostrava CH*

TT Doubles Titles:
2014: Glasgow F1 (w/a1canada), Dallas CH* (w/lolada_4)

Re: Predict Marin Cilic's 2014 season

well, if he brings his A game, he might have a run to a semi or a final of a grand slam. (and of course MTF will agree that it was a fluke)
he will surely win a 250 title.

Re: Predict Marin Cilic's 2014 season

Between 10-20.

Cilic is a bad version of Juan Martin Del Potro. He has power, good strokes at both wings, good return, fine serve, but it's bad at the net and mentally weak. How do you expect him to perform better than his better version (Delpo)?

Ow, and like Eric said, he still should be suspended!

Re: Predict Marin Cilic's 2014 season

I think he'll sneak into the top twenty and be discussed a lot on MTF.

I agree with acacacacademy.

He will discover a much more subtle way to dope and take up a smoking habit.

End.

Re: Predict Marin Cilic's 2014 season

Would like to see him make a deep run at Wimbledon.

Outside that, Chennai, Zagreb and Umag will be awaiting God250-lic.

Seriously, he is one of my more preferred players, and is probably the next player in waiting to join my signature. A decent run in a big event or being in contention for the YEC will probably get him in there. He actually has a good slam record of almost 66%, making 4th round or better multiple times at each slam. He can definitely improve on his career high ranking of no.9, and in terms of age he is well placed to take advantage over coming years.
His 9 singles titles is under-the-radar.

David Ferrer
Tomic Robredo Djokovic

Past Player: Rafter Davydenko Kucera Arazi Hewitt Kuerten El Aynaoui Laver Bjorkman Clement Mecir O. Rochus

All of his results in 2014 are void. Should still be suspended. He could win a CYGS and it would not count.

Top 10

World #1.
.

Some people mistake the Distant Sun for an eternally raging fireball calling for your demise. Just like aliens from outer space. Aliens from other planets. Aliens in galaxies too far away from your own comprehension. Your demise is ultimately irrelevant and meaningless.

Do not question our motives, our objectives, or our qualities. Question your own place in the universe.
