Re: Djokovic hires Boris Becker as his new head coach

I translated these myself from a german website:

Vajda: "I noticed that Novak needs a new coach, to advance his game in certain areas." The Slovakian will stay as a permanent coach in Djokovics team. However he will be taking care of his 2 daughters more, who are also playing Tennis.

and

Becker: "I am proud that Novak asked me to be his coach. I will do my best to help him to achieve his goals. And I am convinced that we can achieve great things together."

and

Djokovic: "I am totally stoked to have the opportunity to work with Boris. He is a true legend."

Also says that Becker will be there for the following tournaments: The 4 Grand Slams, Dubai, Miami, Monte Carlo, Rome, Cincinnati, Shanghai, Paris and London. Djokovic on that: "These tournaments are the most important in our sport, and that's where I want to prove myself."

Somewhere out there, there is a homeless person who once took betting advice from GSMnadal

Always enjoy seeing Djokovic embarrass himself at the net.

Re: Djokovic hires Boris Becker as his new head coach

why change something that works fine

and what's up with all these self-centred old perves in nole's camp, first fibak, now this

i think it could be something else - nole may want boris to teach him how to play poker (boris is also a poker player) so he could defeat rafa at the table. i dont see any sense

Comedy is a drama that happens to other people

I guess Novak knows what he's doing. He is way too professional.

Re: Djokovic hires Boris Becker as his new head coach

1. This must be mainly a marketing move from Novak - it will raise his profile in two big European markets, Germany and the UK.

2. Maybe Boris will help him with the dive volley on grass.

3. Also, Nole is probably sick of Jelena, and needs a way to break off their engagement.

Who else is there who could possibly combine these three roles?

Re: Djokovic hires Boris Becker as his new head coach

Novak hardly needs to change anything in tennis terms. I also do not think Boris will be able to do any damage to Novak's game, as capable as he is. Useless hiring tennis-wise.
