YES! Many more weeks @ #1, 2 YE at #1, beat Nadal in 3 clay court finals. Becker never won a clay court title. He did get to the semis of the FO, where he lost to Edberg and the finals of the Italian Open where he lost to Sampras. Novak is wasting his money in hiring Boris, IMHO! Again, I hope I am wrong.

Maybe Gymnast will learn how to hit a proper volley

He is better than Becker ever was overall

But Boom Boom will always be a better grass courter

Probably still is, lol

I'm surprised but here is a pretty good article by Peter Bodo about Nole and Boris.

There are gluten-free frankfurters on the market. I'm sure Boris can find those if Nole needs 'em

Now seriously on the topic: I think Nole hired Boris for general advice/strategic analysys/psychological support as much as for netgame or how to serve better. He specifically wanted a Lendl-like figure in hist team - he wanted someone who has been there and done that.

Does anyone here think Boris Becker represents cool, charm and charisma in a big bad boy way? I always thought Boris was like a rockstar of tennis. Something sorely lacking in tennis these days.

that's exactly it and it's lacking for all the right reasons.

Tennis has turned too prefessional for rock stars with groupies and parties and stuff.

That's why BB's addition to team Djokovic is under severe doubts and many (me included) see it rather as a potential fiasco, rather than a good decision.

Becker is trying too hard, he is really more of an attention whore than a rockstar. I just find him annoying personally. He will contribute jack to Nole's game and even less to the image of present day tennis.
