Re: How do you rate Djokovic's mental strength between players of Open Era?

Djokovic is one of the mentally weakest players in the top 100. If he was mentally strong like Rafa then he would have over 10 slams by now.

2011 was brought about by high levels of confidence. Nothing to do with inherent mental strength.

In 2011 it was right up there. Before that and in recent times, not good at all. But when he has the mentality he will always destroy someone like Dull because he is just a much better player

One of the only positive things I can say about Nadal is he has good mental strength. Without that and other players choking? No slams at all.

right.... because prior to 2011 (like 4 full seasons on tour) DJokovic didn't choke often

sorry, from 2011-2012 he was great mentally but all the rest of his career he has been mediocre

he's a great player, but that is more based around his insane flexibility and just talent not mental games. he can endure longer than others

Djokovic is definitely not mediocre mentally, not Rafa's level for sure but definitely not mediocre

I think it was actually underrated prior to 2011. He was #3 in the world while his game was in shambles. Even taking a set as poorly as he played and as many BPs as Nadal had in USO 2010 was a miracle, he escaped from brink of defeat many times against lesser players.

Re: How do you rate Djokovic's mental strength between players of Open Era?

This year he lost to Dull twice on HC. Granted he was abysmal and still nearly won in Montreal and should have won the 3rd set at the US Open, but it just shows how poorly he played this year. I mean Dull on HC? Embarrassing.
Even pre-2011, mental midget, constantly injured Djoker owned Dull on HC.

Re: How do you rate Djokovic's mental strength between players of Open Era?

Djokovic got insulted by Feddy fawners when he tried to win matches and improve

Even at his worst he still pushed Nadal more than Fraud did

He isn't on Nadal's level, but that's ok. Don Toni keeps the natural order running

He's second to Rafa in terms of it, if you look at all the evidence.

Re: How do you rate Djokovic's mental strength between players of Open Era?

Nadal plays high percentage tennis. That is not clutch in my book.

He is very strong mentally but his game is easier on the mental strength. Both Nole and Delpo are stronger mentally than Nadal.
