WTF Scheduling: Ferrer getting the short straw?

Ferrer and Djokovic both played the Paris final on Sunday yet their WTF scheduling is much kinder to Djokovic:

Tuesday: Ferrer plays at 2 pm; Djokovic plays at 8 pm
Wednesday: Ferrer will likely have evening match (Djokovic has day off)
Thursday: Day off for Ferrer - Djokovic will play
Friday: Likely day match for Ferrer - day off for Djokovic

So Ferrer will have played Sunday; Tuesday afternoon; Wednesday.

Djokovic will played one day on/one day off; whilst Ferrer will likely be out of it already by playing his first 2 matches consecutively....

Stupid scheduling by ATP to have had the Bercy final on Sunday - if there was no week break, they should have at least made sure that everyone started on Tuesday and the Bercy final was on Saturday.

Nobody wants to see Ferrer in the final here, they want to see Djokovic face off against Nadal. That's no mystery.

The evening session is supposed to be the more interesting session of the day and nobody wants to see Ferrer vs Nadal over Djokovic vs Federer

This.

Also who was it that wanted a couple more weeks in the off-season hence making the ATP, as always, make stupid decisions like the Paris and WTF in back to back weeks....

Re: WTF Scheduling: Ferrer getting the short straw?

It's unfair, but that's the ATP's stupid fault for removing the week's break between Paris and WTF. Someone was going to get screwed by the schedule and they opted for the Paris finalist who was ranked lower than the other guy.

Playing twice in two days isn't that terrible, when there's a rain delay some guys have had to play two matches on the same day. Ferrer will probably get evening session the next day so he can recover, which would be MUCH better than getting the first day evening and next day afternoon.

Didn't you forget 1 match for Djokovic? You calced 3 matches for Ferrer, and 2 for Djokovic.
Tbh, only diffrence will be about tomorrow, Djokovic will get 8pm match and it's logical, he vs Federer is alot better match then Ferrer vs Nadal.

Not out yet, the matches need to finish first because it would be winner vs winner and the loser vs loser.

It just means Djokovic will have less time to rest for the semis/final.

Re: WTF Scheduling: Ferrer getting the short straw?

Personally, I think it's "the other guys" who are facing the real bullshit. They just happen to mix the groups' schedules this year? Really?

I understand that the four who play tomorrow also went deeper in Paris, but that shouldn't matter. This is its own event. They knew the repercussions of putting the two back-to-back. If they didn't like it, it should have been fixed the right way, not by tampering with the line-up.

Can't leave Nadull winning to chance at all. If Ferrer had lost in Paris like he would have supposed to they wouldn't be punishing him.
