Wow. That's a brilliant set of stats you've compiled there man, its phenomenal.

I think Djokovic definitely has the edge over everyone though I feel his God Year skews the view from his normal reaction to such a situation, he should ofcourse be credited for that amazing year of godly mental fortitude, but I feel its a display of big match and big point beastliness that won't be seen for a very long time.

I have no idea what these stats are saying, too many confusing slashes. Would not every match won have to be with match points?

I hate to go against my favorites but Djokovic has shown some great composure and fight while facing match points on big stages, especially against Federer.

Re: Rank the Big 4 in Matchpoint Situations (Check Statistics Here):

without doubt djokovic.

but the other thing is, he often gets into such a situation (facing mp) although it does not have to be
The mental lapses are incredible to say the least. Often he gets himself out of them, but it's also costs him grand slam titles.

I will say that the return winner against Fed in the USO SF has to be one of the most spectacular MP saves. It was stupefying how magnificent that was, especially live.

Re: Rank the Big 4 in Matchpoint Situations (Check Statistics Here):

Djokovic is such a warrior on MP down.

Nadal doesn't have a lot of comebacks, but then again, he hardly ever loses from MP up either. Almost all of his losses came early on

Re: Rank the Big 4 in Matchpoint Situations (Check Statistics Here):

Federer never been great in the department; but he started screwing the pooch there in 2010 -- not a surprise since post AO'10 arguably coincide with the beginning of Roger's terminal decline..

Those numbers confirms Nole as master of tennis escapology..Rafa rarely if ever chokes matches, the ones he lost were too early in his career with the exception of Davy in Doha which i deem a horrible choke..

Re: Rank the Big 4 in Matchpoint Situations (Check Statistics Here):

Fed wasn't that bad in that stat pre 2010, but since then he choked many matches...
age, Nadal and Djokovic will do the same if they play as long. you lose confidence as you decline, it's natural

Re: Rank the Big 4 in Matchpoint Situations (Check Statistics Here):

on paper, sure, it looks like Federer is the worst and Djokovic is the best BUT to be fair the odds that Nadal/Djokovic etc don't lose a higher amount of close matches later in their careers is low

they won't maintain this

Re: Rank the Big 4 in Matchpoint Situations (Check Statistics Here):

Those moments from Bercy 09 still haunt me at nights. Almagro was serving for the match at 40-0, completely on fire, but managed to lose to Nadal. Nadal practically did nothing while Nico was spraying errors left and right. Unreal.

Didn't something similar happen with Andujar at some point? Might've been set points, not match points.
