So frustrating to watch. Rosol was dictating everything but of course he has no middle ground with his game. The one time he did kinda try pushing (down set point in set 1 I think) it was such bad pushing that Ferrer ended up controlling the point.

I didn't watch due to a preference for the big Dolgopolov blow-up show, but every win is precious these days.

Re: Shanghai R2 Ferrer d. Rosol 6-3 6-4

I couldn't see the match entirely for the Spanish TV changed over to Dolgopolov-Nadal once it started but I could see the first set and for me it was an impresive performance by Ferrer.

His ROS are superb and allows him to grasp some opportunities at return games. I think we should keep in mind that Rosol is +20cm higher than Ferrer and so he is expected to dictate points, anyway that is not what happened. Come on: Ferrer even made 5 aces for Rosol's nil (0) and I'm not sure (can't find it in the stats) but he might as well have done more winners.

Granted Rosol has more power but surely it's not even his merit for he has more leverage.

i didnt see most of the match for the same reason as above, but seems like a solid and obvious victory here

If you could place bets on how bad a tennis match would be, Ferrer-Rosol would always be easy money.

If Rosol was serving well, he would've won. 0 aces from him is ridiculous...

Ferrer returning in this match was amazing, that is why i think he is the best returner, He just goes at the serve may it be first or second, aggressive returning. Rosol always had to dig the service return in his feet.
