Btw, I found Lendl's indoor record. Yes, Gimelclown and Gaudio that match scared me and if Gaston lost that I might have lost my temper.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Machado wins 6-2 6-1

yeah i saw. 716/166 wasn't it? very good...was actually expecting it to be even better though after what you had told me about him playing indoors before. still...excellent record over a long period of time! will have to find others on that surface. maybe world beater will work out rusedski's record for us all!

Re: Winners and UE records

Possibly the Younes/Roddick AO quarters. Both hit 100 + winners, Roddick with 30 someodd unforced errors, while Younes had errors in the 50's.

Andy Roddick.Fernando Verdasco.Richard Gasquet.Tommy Haas

Re: Winners and UE records

winners/UE's and amount are all dependent on circumstances

you're never gonna hit too many UE's when you play a net rusher cos every pass you attempt will be counted as a forced error
or a winner should you make it.

Guga had about 11 UE's in that 5 set match vs Max

Re: Winners and UE records

note to the thread starter: winners and UE's in tennis are not clearly standardized concepts, and therefore they have very limited usefulness and meaning when comparing these raw numbers from match to match.

A winner is a winner, and it makes tennis far more interesting... especially now that there are few "netrushers"... UE'a are more subject to debate, I agree.

"I asked a bloke in the front row if he liked the serve-and-volley stuff," said Rafter. "He said he did but asked if he was going to get to see any rallies. 'Not today, mate,' I told him."

Re: Winners and UE records

Pete must hold the records for winners, he must have gotten close to a 100 or more on many occasions...all those years of domination at wimbledon must have done it!
